PM Diwali 1Diwali at No 10 has become an important event in the calendar of the Indian community in Britain. The prime minister decorates his official home No 10 Downing Street with marigolds and rows of diyas. He always takes time to interact with the business leaders, journalists and cultural personalities. The highlight is the photo opportunity.

The scenario will change back in India. It’s a political affair. Just an event in the capital. Most embarassing is the ‘selfie phase.’ The event will witness journalists vying with each other to take selfie with Modi!

Modi said he wanted to host the ‘Diwali Milan’ earlier but because of his busy schedule he could not do so. BJP chief Shah said the party got late in celebrating ‘Diwali Milan’ but he was glad that the tradition continued.
