‘Manoranjan’ was an evening of Indian entertainment held at the Octagon theatre. Organised by Bolton Hindu Forum, this was a collaborative event between the theatre and The Bolton Hindu Forum. The theatre is making a great effort to involve various parts of the community, driven by the new artistic director, Elizabeth Newman. Paras Agravat, Project Development Officer for Bolton Hindu Forum teamed up with the Octoagon Theatre to produce ‘Manoranjan’.

A sold out crowd watched different groups from the Hindu community of Bolton showcasing traditional Indian dances, Bollywood, drama, and more. This is sure to be the first of many, as Bolton Hindu Forum will be working with the Octagon on a number of projects in the future.

The new Madam Mayor, Linda Byrne, in her speech expressed how events like these being held at Bolton’s most well known venues are so important for the town.
