Teenagers from across Great Britain will compete for the crown in a spectacular grand finale. The winner of Miss Junior Teen Great Britain 2016 will receive an incredible prize package. The prize includes a beautiful crown and sash, an amazing £500, £500 worth of dresses from The Dress Studio, Warrington, a Vanity Bag and a girlie trip to Plas Colwyn Holiday Home. Britain will be held on the 22nd and 23rd October 2016 at The Globe in Blackpool Pleasure Beach.The weekend of Miss Junior Teen Great Britain is set to be full of fun, with the finalists enjoying a Beauty Queen Challenge Day, a pyjama diva party and much more! At the grand finale, not only would one girl be crowned the winner but there are also other  prizes and awards… these include Best Smile, Junior Teen Congeniality, Junior Teen Top Model, Best Hair, Junior Teen Style Queen and many more!

“Making it to the grand finale has been a dream come true for me. I am proud that I am able to represent Northwich  and  I am hopeful of winning the Miss Junior Teen Great Britain crown!” says an excited Smriti. Smriti’s most significant achievement till date was performing a Bollywood dance in front of Her Majesty, the Queen at Chester zoo for her Diamond Jubilee Celebrations in May 2012. Smriti says “It was an absolute pleasure to perform in her Majesty’s esteemed presence. I extremely enjoyed it and will never forget such a memorable accomplishment”.

Academically, Smriti’s aim is to study psychology at university. Smriti is  currently studying in Year 9 at Hartford Church of England High School at Northwich. She is also one of the charity representatives at her school. She has also won the Barnton Community Primary School’s annual award for “Barnton’s got Talent” when she was in Year 4 for a solo dance. Smriti loves dancing as well. She says “I take part in a Diwali parade at Chester every year, which is attended by the Mayor of Chester. Also I have taken part in numerous Bollywood dance performances around Cheshire. I am also an active Netball player at school. Furthermore, I love to cook and bake as well.” Smriti wants to come across herself as a caring and compassionate person.

On her selection as a finalist for the Miss Junior Teen Great Britain, Smriti has the following to say – “By participating in Miss Junior Teen Great Britain, I expect to develop my self-confidence. Furthermore, I would also learn to improve upon my communication, leadership and interview facing skills. Nevertheless, this pageantry would also help me realise my core values of humility and women empowerment. I believe pageantry isn’t just about a fabulous and fun time but also a learning experience. Moreover, the participation in the above pageantry may lead me to modelling, acting and other opportunities including service to my local community. I would also use the opportunity to make new friends and just have an amazing time at the pageantry.

The grand finalists will be judged in three different sections: fashion wear, interview and evening wear. The Grand final Contestants can add up to 5 bonus points to their overall score as well.  The girl with the highest number of public appearances will win the award for ‘Miss Junior Teen Publicity.

Smriti’s parents Shiva and Lalita are excited at the prospect of seeing their daughter walk the ramp at the Grand Finale of Miss Teen Junior Great Britain in October this year. “We are really proud of our daughter to have reached so far in the pageant and is only a step away from winning the crown”, they say.
