The 10th Flower and Garden Festival is launched at Yanbhu by Alaa bin Abdullah Nassif, chief executive of the Royal Commission for Yanbhu, at the Events Garden in Yanbhu Industrial City.

Yanbhu is an important petroleum-shipping terminal. This coastal town of Saudi Arabia is home to three oil refineries and several petrochemical plants. Tens of thousands of Saudis and expatriates from neighbouring cities and regions have been flocking to Yanbhu over the weekends to visit the annual Flowers and Gardens Festival.

The festival is a haven for plant lovers where they can see thousands of different species and learn about protecting the environment.More than 150 companies and institutions from the country and abroad are participating, showcasing their products.
Specialists, agronomists and gardeners in the festival gave demonstrations on how to use proper engineering technology. They defined the needed supplies for house gardens, explained the ways to take care of gardens and also helped the visitors with the garden designs.

Saleh bin Abdullah Al-Zahrani, president of the festival, acknowledged the main highlight of this year’s flower festival- the special 12-meter wall of flowers starting at the entrance. This wall of flowers is dedicated to the soldiers who protects the country.
Nassif pointed out during the inauguration ceremony that the event aims to revitalize the commercial and recreational entertainment for the residents of this industrial city and its visitors. He also added that this aesthetically and artistically rich program projects the beauty of Yanbhu.
