‘Chhule Aashman’ was a unique platform provided to women poets, to uphold their emotions via poetry. It was organised by the Aashirvad and Ghyan Gangotri Kayva and lead by Mrs. Manju Lodha. Around the occasion of Women’s Day this event was arranged to salute all women and to respect their existence. They were given a chance to portray their feelings to the world through self-composed poems.
The evening began with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony. The Chief Guest Shri Sandip Soparrkar, Guest of Honour Leela Satyanarayan and BJP Maharashtra MLA Shri Mangal Prabhat Lodha lighted the lamp to inaugurate the event. This was followed by a welcome address by Mrs Manju Lodha.
Ace choreographer Soparrkar, danced and recited his self-composed poem “How Should Say I Love You”. This special poem was written in order to propose to his wife Jesse Randhawa. He later launched the Maharashtra Edition of the Media Directory written by Aftab Alam. He was joined in this endeavour by the other VIP guests present for the occasion.
The night saw a coming together of various emotions – hope, love, fear, anguish- through the words and poetic compositions of talented women. They were encouraged and cheered by all the special guests. Their poems were much liked by all in the audience and boosted their morale in continuing their passion for writing poetry. Among the audience were renowned names like Sarita Patil, Jyotsana Mehta, Binna Laddha, Neeta Vajpayee, Rajkumar Varjatiya, Dr. Umakant Vajpayee and Vrijmohan Agrawal.
Thus, all in all the evening was dedicated to women with a passion for poetic expression of circumstances.
