The Mancunians enjoy an evening full of laughter and joy as VOICE organised a Kavi Sammelan….reports Sheel Nigam
A ‘Kavi Sammelan’ was organised by VOICE ( Vedic Organisation for Indian Culture and Education) at St. Peter’s Assembly Room in Manchester to promote Hindi, which was supported by High Commission of India, Indian Council of Cultural Relation,UK.
Shri Tarun Kumar, Attache Hindi and Shri KBL Saxena, National Co-ordinator were present in the function. VOICE is an educational project of Manchester branch of VHP (U.K.).This institution works across all communities, irrespective of all age, gender, ethnicity and disability.
The main objective of this institution is to teach and promote Indian Culture and Arts including dance,instrumental and vocal classical music, drama,languages, yoga,religious studies and philosophy originating from India and at the same time to encourage students to take up relevant examinations in any of the subjects taught, particularly GCSE examinations for Religious Studies(Hinduism & Sikhism) and for Indian languages (Hindi, Gujarati and Punjabi).
Also it encourages students to appear in examination for music and dance such as Kathak & Bharatnatyam. The classes are held for Yoga, Meditation, Vedic Maths and Quick Maths regularly.
