The Indian Journalists Association Europe hosts a reception to welcome new Indian High Commissioner Navtej Singh Sarna….reports Dr Shiv Pande

About 100 members of IJA and their guests including MPs, Members of House of Lords, business personalities welcomed the new High Commissioner of India Mr Navtej Singh Sarna and his wife Dr. Avina Sarna at Edwardian Suite of prestigious St.James court Hotel in central London. IJA President Daljit Sehbai welcomed the gathering.
The new envoy of India, an acclaimed writer with several titles on his credit, lauded journalists for promoting India. Mr Sarna said journalist can do certain things with their copies which are difficult for diplomats to achieve.
TATA’s Executive Firector Dr. David Landsman CBE, Mr. Gopi Chand Hinduja, Dr. YK Hamid of Cipla were present. Nikesh Patel and his co actor Henry Lloyd- Hughes of Channel 4’s Indian Summer were surprise guests for the evening.
Vote of thanks were proposed by Amit Roy as IJA Secretary Prassun Sonwalkar of Hindustan Times was busy with a prior engagement.
