The London School of Economics and Political Science’s Student Union hosted ‘India Forum 2016’ on ‘India’s Growing Global Footprint’….reports Asian Lite News

Dr Virander Paul (Deputy High Commissioner) with Commodore Gurpeet S Bedi (Air Adviser for High Commission), Charan Kanwal S Sekhon (Councillor, Senior Environment Officer and Cranfield University Alumni Rep), Amandeep S Bhogal (London Assembly MLA Candidate for Tory Party) Sanam Arora (President - NISU UK (National Indian Students Union)), Dr Banarjee (Director South Asian Centre) with leaders of UK Indian student unions and the Conference Organising Committee

The event put a spotlight on the pertinent topics affecting India in relation to its place on the global stage, particularly with reference to its recent listing as ‘the world’s fastest growing economy’. The event generated a lot of discussions especially on the topic of Modi Government’s two years performance.

Over 300 guests attended the conference.  The evening private reception was hosted by LSC Indian Students Union and the National Indian Students Union. Dr Virandra Paul, the Deputy High Commissioner, was the guest of honour.
