He was Radio Uncle to millions of British-Asians because of his ability to communicate with its viewers – irrespective of their age and origin. The death of Sir Terry Wogan shocked the whole country and it reflected on the front pages of today’s newspapers. All the newspapers – both quality broadsheet and tabloid – carried the pic and story of Sir Terry on front pages. Besides the TV role, Sir Terry fronted the Eurovision Song Contest and was the face of Children in Need. His Radio 2 breakfast show regularly had around 8m listeners.
