The workaholic chief minister of Andhra Pradesh wrapped up his first day events in London with a presentation and speech at Amaravati Smart City Investment Prospectus event which was attended by High Commissioner Mr Navtej Singh  and Alok Sharma MP. He even mentioned the historic visits of Modi to UK and Cameron to India to highlight the warm relations between the two countries.

A busy schedule is awaiting for the CM on Saturday. It will begin with a meeting with Subaskaran Allirajah, Chairman of Lyca Mobile and ends with a mammoth gathering of the Telugu diaspora at East Ham. The community Meet & Greet event will be held at the White House, East Ham on 12th March. The chief minister will be officially launching the APNRT Europe Cellat the event.

He will also hold a meeting with members of the Indo-UK Healthcare and Sean Kidney, Clean bonds. He will also participate in the Indo-British Business Forum and Indo-British Investment club making a strong pitch of Andhra Pradesh as the best investment destination.Following a lunch with the sponsors of Andhra Pradesh’s flagship Smart Village program, the Chief Minister will take part in a social meet and greet CM with the Telugu diaspora.

IMG-20160312-WA0026Meanwhile, another report says the London Stock Exchange has offered to help Andhra Pradesh to raise funds for Amaravati.  He had a meeting with Mr Nikhil Rathi, CEO of London Stock Exchange. During the presentation, he informed the Chief Minister that more than 500 companies with a total market capitalisation of two trillion dollars are listed in LSE.

The Chief Minister also held a discussion on financial district and development of world-class infrastructure with the representatives. Mr. Rathi has come forward to work with Andhra Pradesh to help raise funds for Amaravati.

During a meeting with representatives from Canary Wharf, the Chief Minister has invited them to be partners in the development of futuristic capital Amaravati. Canary Wharf, being a major business district in the United Kingdom, he asked the delegation to adopt best practices to make Amaravati hub of bustling financial activity.

The Chief Minister and his team participated in a presentation on UK smart city expertise. Greater London Authority, RICS, Aecom, Benoy, Arup, Mott MacDonald, Mace, Gleeds, Catapult, StadivArena, Vodafone, Rolls – Royce, Herbert Smith Freehills, JCB, UK Export Finance, ARM are part of the presentation.

“We have a rare opportunity to build a world-class capital for Andhra Pradesh. I request you all to make Amaravati your second home and be a part of developing our people’s capital,” the Chief Minister said.
