In an event held by the Zoroastrian All Party Parliamentary Group, in association with the Zoroastrian Trust Funds of Europe (ZTFE), in the committee hall of the British Parliament; High Commissioner Shri Navtej Sarna lauded the Parsi community. The event was chaired by Lord Bilimoria. He recalled the contribution of this community in the Indian Independence struggle and the post- Independence Development of the society.

Navtaj Sarna was one of the guest speakers for the event. the other two special speakers were Dr David Landsman OBE, Head of TATA in the UK and Sir Mominic Cadbury, Former Chairman of Cadbury and Schweppes.

He focussed on how a thousand years ago the zoroastrian community landed on Indian shores seeking refuge to be able to express themselves without fear. Since then, the community has beautifully blended in the ethnic structure of the Indian society and has come a long way. He especially pointed out to the contributions of Dadabhai Naoroji, Dr Homi Bhaba and Maestro Zubin Mehta in his speech.
