Shreya Ghoshal proved yet again that she is the modern day queen of melody as she mesmerised a house full of audiences at London’s Eventim Apollo theatre. It was a sold out concert which speaks volumes about how popular the multi award winning Bollywood singer is with the Indian diaspora living in the capital.
The audience was cheering loudly, whistling, applauding and singing along their favourite Shreya tracks pretty much all throughout.
There were several requests of songs from the audience and Ghoshal obliged them with cheer and charm.
Shreya managed to keep the audiences captivated from the beginning to the end of the concert and left them wanting even more!
It was a very well organised concert and the promptness of the timings added to the very professional pitch of this event considering this is Shreya’s fifth consecutive year of concerts in UK.
She paid a heartfelt tribute to some singing legends and wowed the audiences with classics like chandni raatein and a heartwarming and nostalgic lag jaa gale transporting everyone to the golden era.
Overall it was a superhit concert and Shreya’s hits from Bajirao Mastani and Aashiqui 2 to songs of Parineeta and her debut from the film Devdas provided a soulful, upbeat and melodious repertoire for hindi film music lovers.
The concert was presented by Rock On Music and TLC events.
