Commenting on the new job, Burhan Uddin said: “I’m very interested in 3D technology and tried to learn 3D design myself. I then came across the course and thought it would be perfect for me. I really enjoyed learning everything and it’s inspired me to learn more. It’s great to have a job with a global Virtual Reality firm and I can’t wait to get stuck in.”
Ken Swain, EON Reality’s Managing Director in the UK said: “Burhan is one of ten students from the current course that we have been able to offer a 3D developer job to. He worked extremely hard and is passionate about 3D content creation. In September we will be welcoming our next intake of students to the EON Reality – VR Innovation Academy. The academy supports up to 100 talented individuals a year in developing skills in programming and application creation, 3D/VR design and development. Upon completion of the programme, over half of the successful students will be recruited to join the EON Reality team. We still have a few places available for the next course and encourage anyone interested to come along to one of our Open Days to find out more.”
The Academy is fully funded by EON reality with no fees incurred by students. It is a training course which teaches students using current state of the art technology, and is taught by 3D experts from all over the globe. Unlike a typical academic course, EON Reality offer the opportunity to develop applications and work under supervision of our experts that are being used by today’s businesses and educators.
The Academy is 10 months of learning about all aspects of the 3D world, and expands across areas of programming, application development, design and much more. It is aimed at individuals who have some knowledge of programming, digital content, 3D web media, modelling and/or animation software, an aptitude for creative digital content – whether that be coding, real-time 3D engine, modelling or animation, together with a passion to succeed.
The free training course has 100 places for talented students aged eighteen years and above, interested in a career in interactive 3D content creation. Anyone who is interested in being a 3D developer, 3D artist or 2D or 3D creative and has a basic understanding of 3D and digital media technologies can apply. The course starts on 7th September 2015.
For those applying who have not been in higher education, the course offers the option of an HNC in Interactive 3D Content Development in partnership with The Manchester College. Student loan funding to support living expenses can also be accessed through Student Finance England.
