Manchester UK is seeking India’s fastest growing digital companies to join its world-class ecosystem, the second largest in the UK, as part of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 – the contest which recognises India’s emerging and most dynamic tech businesses.
Europe’s top city for business competitiveness, Manchester will visit some of India’s key IT hubs to attract India’s top firms to the North of England and build new and existing relationships within the market. As a critical market for Indian investors, Manchester will also showcase its strengths in digital excellence.
To interact with top performing companies in India’s thriving IT sector, MIDAS, Manchester’s inward investment agency and Deloitte India, will host sessions with Deloitte India’s 2017 Technology Fast50 winners in the National Capital Region, Mumbai, Chennai (30 November) and Bangalore (1 December).
MIDAS is also offering five of Deloitte’s 2017 Technology Fast 50 winners the opportunity to win a Manchester establishment support package worth over ₹1m. The prize also includes complimentary flights to Manchester in April 2018 and three night’s deluxe accommodation.
Establishment packages are also available to other Indian tech companies interested in setting up a Manchester operation.
Manchester has a strong digital infrastructure and has the UK’s second highest proportion of tech companies wanting to establish themselves in one of the city region’s flourishing hubs including MediaCityUK. At the heart of the UK’s ‘Northern Powerhouse’, Manchester is driving innovation across the region and is an ideal business and trade destination for Indian companies to get a foothold in the UK marketplace.
Home to HCL Technologies, Hero Cycles, Aegis and the 2016 winner of the Deloitte Fast 50 contest, 42Gears, Manchester has established itself as a choice business destination for Indian companies.
Rajiv Sundar, Partner, Deloitte India, said: “The Technology Fast 50 program recognizes the fastest growing technology businesses in India based on their percentage revenue growth over the past three financial years. It is a recognition of both their growth and ambition.
“It is a pleasure that MIDAS has decided to continue its association with our program Tech Fast50 for the second consecutive year and is hosting interaction events for Deloitte’s Technology Fast50 2017 winners. We hope that these interactive sessions will allow our winners to network with their peers and explore global and domestic opportunities.”
