In wake of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, which has also affected India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday announced a nation-wide lockdown from March 24 midnight.

In a special address to the nation, Modi said that the nation will undergo a complete lockdown for 21 days to contain the spread of Corona pandemic.

“This lockdown is in a way curfew, but more stringent than Janata Curfew,” he said.
