HWPL Chairman Man Hee Lee urges Mayor Duterte of Davao City and 11 tribe representatives of Davao to cooperate for peace with HWPL through a peace conference. A MOA was signed by the City Museum and City Library to promote peace works of HWPL.

The deal will support the implementation of an International Convention on the Renunciation and Cessation of War and International Armed Conflicts through the peace talks with the Mayor and 11 tribe representatives of Davao.

Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL and Mayor Duterte of Davao City had a peace talk in Marco Polo Hotel to discuss future peace cooperation. Chairman Lee, during the discussion, urged Mayor Duterte and Davao citizens to support the implementation of an International Convention on the Renunciation and Cessation of War and International Armed Conflicts to bring a practical peace a step closer. Also, Chairman Lee had a meeting with 11 tribe representatives of Davao who signed an agreement, promising to work with HWPL for peace.

They were especially appointed as the members of HWPL Publicity Ambassador, pledging to support the Convention to be implemented together with the tribe members. In response, they have appointed Chairman Lee and Chairwoman Kim of IWPG as the honorary representative and vice representative of the 12th tribe of Davao respectively, showing their will to unite for peace with the two chairpersons.

HWPL’s peace educational materials will be displayed in the Davao City Museum and the City Library. The City Museum Director has concluded a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with HWPL and offered a certificate verifying a permanent exhibition of HWPL’s peace works at the HWPL Hall located in the newly opened 2nd floor of the museum. Meanwhile, on the 1st floor, a photo exhibition of HWPL peace works will be held for one month.

Along with the City Museum, the City Library also has entered into a MOA with HWPL and provided an exclusive bookshelf to arrange HWPL Newsletters, books, DVDs that contain HWPL’s peace movements. The citizens of Davao and any visitors are able to easily gain access to the peace works of HWPL.

Concluding a MOA between the City Museum, City Library of Davao and HWPL, instilling peace awareness to the citizens of Davao by arranging HWPL peace references and material in each institution.
