Indian Veena maestro ‘Veena Paani’ Smt Emani Kalyani’s enthralls the British audience at an event at Walsall , West Midlands. The event was organised by Udbhav. The event gave a wonderful Indian classical musical experience to the music lovers in Britain.

Vidushi, ‘Veena Paani’ Smt Emani Kalyani Lakshminarayana is the daughter of Maha Mahopadhyaya and Padmashri (Late) Sri. Emani Shankara Sastry. Smt.Kalyani is hailing from Hyderabad, India. Smt Kalyani’s Raga rendering was very pleasing and based on melodies. Her exquisite tonal quality and versatility was exhibited in the song ‘Nada Loludai’ in Kalyana Vasantam. The exuberant and crisp notes of Thallana in Faraz preceded the final chants from Vedic Hym ‘Mantra Pushpam’.
The audience thoroughly enjoyed the soothing musical melody produced by this very ancient south Indian string instrument, veena. She was accompanied by her daughter and student Padmini Pasumarthy. On Mridangam was Sri.Ranganath Magadi who gave a very good support with the percussion instrument.
The concert was organised by Udhav a forum based in West Midlands, aims to promote emerging and established talent in classical music and dance through regular events.
