As part of the Palliative Care Observance Day, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday visited an accident victim who was a former official of Kerala government’s Local Self Government (LSG) department in Karunagappally in Kollam district.
Mr Vijayan visited M. Sharaff, a former senior clerk in LSG, had met with an accident in 2016 and sustained serious spinal injuries.
In the impact, Sharaff had lost his ability to speak but regained after two years of treatment. However, he is still not able to walk, according to chief minister who posted the photo of him meeting Sharaff inside an ambulance.
“The government will consider for compassionate appointment for his dependants as asked by Sharaff’s wife Mumtaz, children Milhan and Lima,” the Chief Minister posted in facebook.
