Indian journalists in London along with senior diplomats organise a reception for Parvathi Menon, the London correspondent of The Hindu
Parvathi is returning home after a three year posting. She has covered many historic events in the tenure including the Modi’s visit to the UK, 2015 general election besides the brutal Brexit campaign.
Fellow Indian journalists hosted a farewell dinner for Parvathi, one of the most eminent journalists from the Indian brigade, at India Zing restaurant in Hammersmith.
Senior journalist Ashis Ray, Prasun Sonwalkar of Hindustan Times, Srinivas Gotru, Minister, Press & Information at the Indian High Commission, paid tributes.
“Parvathi has been an esteemed colleague and friend and she’ll be truly missed,” said Naresh Kaushik of BBC. Kailash Budhwar, formerly Head of BBC Hindi Service, added: “My regards to Parvathi and best wishes.”
Shiv Pande, formerly presenter of AAP KI HAQ on Granada TV, said: “We will miss Parvathi, one of the best media professionals from India.”
