It lives true to its rave reviews:
“What a glorious 2018 season this theatre is settling into
A BLAZING SHAKESPEARE FOR THE SUMMER
The original music confirms former Noah and the Whale frontman Charlie Fink as a theatre composer of the first rank”
“VIBRANT, FUNNY and POLISHED
it’s great fun, taking one of Shakespeare’s most amorphous plays and repeatedly hitting comedy gold”
The production is of top notch theatrical quality in which each scene is bold, candid, humorous and thought through clearly, quite true to the 400 year old text. The performances are punchy, strong and it’s all so fast paced that one can’t take their eyes off the stage!
The singing, dancing, humour, satire all across the acts are all really on point, amusing and entertaining and Shakespeare lovers are in for a total treat in this forest set Rom Com! The costumes, set design and the overall feel of the show transports one and all in an immersive way to a reimagined forest of Arden!
Orlando pining for love, Celia and Rosalind epitomising love of close knit cousins, the characterisation of the court jester and the feeling of good old love at first sight… it’s a fun-filled, feel-good theatre outing for one an all!
