Gen. Bajwa also called on the media for their support, asking them to play a part in the keeping the morale of troops. He said he would be holding a meeting with representatives of the media soon.

General Qamar Javed Bajwa thanked General Raheel Sharif for praising his professionalism and extending good wishes in future endeavours.

  1. New army chief of Pakistan General Bajwa offers a positive relationship with India as he is confident that border tensions can be eased of soon. These are the words of a superior officer who want to build a healthy relation with the neighbouring country. Hope that he will stick on to his words and there will be a reversal in the current relation between India and Pakistan. They have a long history of face off between the Prime Minister and military chief as all the generals tried to impose their authority on the civilian rule. Starting from Ayoob Khan to Parvez Mushsraf to the last man who occupied the post, they always intervened in the democratic government and had a huge role in escalating the border tensions between two countries. Hardly forget the conspiracy by General Musharaf which results in the Kargil war which unleashed only after Indian Prime Minister A B Vajpayee and his counterpart Nawas Sherref had decided to maintain peace in border.
So it is a truth that army chiefs always nurtures and sponser the terror groups to silence India. Until and unless Pakistan take a stern action on the internal extremism, nothing new can be expected. Huge challenge awaits new military generals and hopes he comes out with a new dimension in Indo-Pak relations which will help the entire subcontinent to get away from terrorist sufferings.
