The University of Bolton announces its stadium naming rights partnership with Bolton Wanderers Football Club…. Reports Asian lite News
The deal will see the club’s stadium rebranded as the University of Bolton Stadium with immediate effect. Bolton Wanderers chairman Ken Anderson said: “We are extremely proud of this strategic long-term partnership with the University of Bolton. Like us, the university is at the heart of the community and plays a vital role in flying the flag for our great town. We are honoured to display the university’s brand across our stadium, which in turn helps the educational establishment reach out to a wider audience.”
Professor George E Holmes DL, President and Vice Chancellor of the University of Bolton, added: “We are very excited to continue our association and support of Bolton Wanderers. Both the football club and the University of Bolton are synonymous with our town, and we felt now was the right time to extend our strategic partnership: the arrangement specifically includes increased benefits for our sport students. As a town centre campus, the alliance with Bolton Wanderers immediately enhances our sporting infrastructure, and is a very exciting move for the university.”
The deal enables students studying Sports Science to help assess sportsmen and women in a professional environment, greatly enhancing their learning and hands-on experience. Students have access to state-of-the-art facilities and specialist expertise at the club, with the opportunity to develop a real-world understanding of their subject in a professional environment.
