British MP Hosts Diwali Dinner at Harrow

Bob did it again. Bob Blackman, the Conservative MP from Harrow East, hosted a dinner to mark the arrival of Hindu festival season in London….reports Asian Lite News

The first Diwali dinner was held in Harrow last week at Premier Banqueting . The event was organised by the Business Club of Bob Blackman MP, Harrow East. Several prominent members from the political and business circles were present including London Mayor Boris Johnson, Conservative candidate for London mayoral post Zac Goldsmith, Lord Popat , Dr Rami Ranger, Cllr Mina Parmar,  Rajrajeswar Guruji of Siddhashram etc.

Dr Ranger was the host of the evening. He welcomed the guest’s and the gathering with a spiced up speech underlying the Tory connection with Indian diaspora. He said there are similarities between Indian valuses and Conservative policies especially entrepreneurship. The audience symbolised the new face of Conservatives. It was dotted with doctors , IT geeks , artistes , entrepreneurs , social workers, educationists, budding politicians and people from all walks of life.

Mayor Boris Johnson,  Zac Goldsmith, Lord Popat were emphasising the the importance to strengthen the Indo-UK relations. They said UK want ties with India on par with UK and the forthcoming visit of Indian Prime Minister Naarendra Modi will strengthen that. They all urged the Indian community to make UK Welcomes Modi Event a huge success.

The 300+ guest’s  were entertained with several dance performances symbolising the diversity of India,
