Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan arrives in London to invite prominent members of the British business sector to forthcoming Global Investment Summit at Indore. He met Priti Patel, Britain’s Secretary for International Development, leading business people including Hinduja brothers to explain the investment opportunities available in the central state of India.
“Met Minister Priti Patel in London and discussed partnership for development of smart cities, large infra projects including river linking,” the chief minister Tweeted after meeting Priti.
Madhya Pradesh, the central state of India, is one of the fastest growing economies in the country. “With its business friendly policies and skilled labour force, we aspire to become the growth pillar of Make in India,” the chief minister said.
The state is organising a Global Investment Summit on October 22nd and 23rd at Indore to facilitate the FDI in the state.
The chief minister also met Nat Puri of Purico; Maghin Tamilarasan of Rolls-Royce; Martin Hatfull,
Diageo and Sarah Dickson of Scotch Whiskey Association; Arvind Srinivasan, Martin Sutherland and Robin Mackenzie of De la Rue; Prasad Bhav, Tim Buxton and Norman Moltu of FirstGroup; Kevin Sabin of Hargreaves.
On Tuesday, he will meet Philip Bouverat of JCB and visit King’s Cross regeneration site.
