Jet airways increase frequency on Mumbai flights ahead of launch… reports Asian Lite News
Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, has increased the frequency on its new direct Manchester to Mumbai service, before the first plane has even taken off. The airline will now offer five flights a week to the Indian city, giving people of the North increased flexibility and options. Flights will now depart on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Announced in May, Jet Airways will use an Airbus A330-200 on the route with Première (business) and economy classes.
“We are pleased to increase the frequency on flights between Manchester and Mumbai ahead of our launch in November.
Jet Airways is committed to deepening both commerce and tourism ties between the two countries. Expanding our flight frequency allows us to give further choice to business and leisure travellers heading to Mumbai from the North of England.
Not only are we giving customers more choice when travelling to India, but our network of flights across India also connects Mumbai to multiple different destinations across the country.” Lydia Nazareth, General Manager UK & Ireland at Jet Airways said.
“We are delighted that Jet Airways has decided to increase the frequency on its direct flights to Mumbai from Manchester.
“It’s a clear indication of the airline’s commitment to Manchester, and also a sign of the demand for people from the North to travel to India.
“We look forward to the route starting in November and the host of economic benefits it will bring here in the North.” Julian Carr, Aviation Director at Manchester Airport, said.
Jet Airways’ flight 9W 130 will depart from Mumbai at 0230 hrs (Local time) and will arrive in Manchester’s Terminal 2 at 0755 hrs (Local time). The return flight, 9W 129 will depart from Manchester at 0935 hrs (Local time) and arrive in Mumbai’s Terminal 2 at 0040 hrs (Local time).
