Lord Mayor of Manchester visits Gandhi Hall

Lord Mayor of Manchester Cllr June Hitchen visits Radha Krishna Mandir based in Gandhi Hall, Withington, Manchester. The Hindu Religious Society organised a Havan Ceremony in her honour. Prominent people from the Indian community were present.

Prof. Gandhi, President, Mrs. Indu Seth, General Secretary, and other trustees welcomed the Lord Mayor to the ceremony on behalf of Hindu Religious Society and Indian Religious and Charitable Trust (IRCT). Mr. Niranjan Bhatt, Treasurer & Trustee, Moti Bhai Patel, Mahesh Taker, Maneet Kapoor ( Trustee ), D. Jha and Namrata Bedi were present.

Priest Krishan Joshi led the religious ceremonies.

The Indian community thanked the Lord Mayor for the visit.  This was the first time that a Lord Mayor of Manchester had visited Radha Krishna Mandir, one of the oldest temples in the country, and participated in the Havan Ceremony.
