Manchester’s Radha Krishan Mandir at Gandhi Hall has witnessed one of the largest religious gathering in the region recently. Community leaders, senior politicians, members and priests from other communities were present at the Shri Chandi Maha Yagya at the temple. Temple President Niranjan Bhatt, priest Shastri Krishan Joshi , General Secretary Dr KL Gandhi were there to extend the hospitality to the guests. Gita Bhavan Temple trustee Mr Raj Kaushal was also present.
The Maha Yagya is aimed to invoke the blessings of Shri Chandika Parameshwari (Maa Durga) to bring peace, harmony and prosperity to the world. Chandi Yagya is the most powerful yagya in Hindu religion and is dedicated to the Chandi Goddess.
Acharya Dharam Dutt Vasistha Ji (Birmingham), Acharya Krishan Kant Attri MBE (New Castle), Dr Vraj Vihari Sharan Ji (Scotland), Shri Shivendra Shuklagi (Slough), Acharya Dhanesh Sharma Ji, Pt Chandrasehar Dorai (Birmingham), and Pt Kamleshbhai Bhatt Ji (Bolton) were there to lead the prayers.
