Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi started his bilateral engagements in Britain on Wednesday with a meeting with his British counterpart Theresa May during the course of which they discussed the bilateral relationship after Britain’s exit from the European Union (EU).
May welcomed the Indian Prime Minister with a customary handshake before the two leaders held talks over a breakfast meeting.
“The two leaders had wide-ranging talks on redefining and infusing new energy into our bilateral engagement post-Brexit,” Indian External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted following the meeting at 10, Downing Street.
