Ace photographer Monir Ali walked away with the Award for Best Fashion Photographer, at the annual BEFFTA Awards, in London….reports Asian Lite News
Monir Ali, of St Albans, founder & principal photographer at Little Big Ego and a qualified member of the British Institute of Professional Photographers was awarded the award which celebrates excellence in Arts, Film and Entertainment.
The Awards ceremony, held at Westminster Hall, London, is called the Black Entertainment, Film, Fashion, Television and Arts Awards (BEFFTA), aimed at honouring the best in entertainment, showbiz, leadership and sports personalities in UK.
There was a lot of competition in the coveted category of BEFFTA Fashion Photographer of the Year, however, the judges at BEFFTA, felt that the award reflected the Ethos, the creativity, passion and the hard work Monir Ali, has put in over the last 12 months.
“It’s been a hectic year, for us, and it feels great to be recognised for the work we do, and the creativity and long hours we put in to it. There’s no sitting down now, though we need to maintain the high level of work our clients are accustomed to” Says Monir Ali.
Monir Ali operates his photography business in two parts and focuses in the main on commercial, editorial and fashion assignments, with clients ranging from international fashion and consumer brands to magazine editorials, pr & event coverage and celebrities from the world of fashion and film, including the odd Bollywood celebrity.
Syed Akhtar, of PDM Agency, who collected the Award on Monirs Behalf said “Monir Ali, is a hardworking and creative individual who will work to wards a brief, with creative passion, and will not rest until the job is done, I congratulate him and look forward to working with him on more fashion projects in the future.”
Monir Ali, adds “the award, will constantly remind me of what i have to do to succeed, and would like to thank all our clients, for their unconditional support in our work, and to our friends and families for their continued encouragement”.
