Cameron is all set to launch a campaign for his party preceding the local elections coming up in May. This campaign would be launched by the PM at the Conservative Party Spring Forum. The conservatives constitute the largest party of the UK and thus with the local elections in sight the campaigning is all set to begin.
According to the PM, “Across north and south, across town and country, Conservatives in local government will deliver more for less. Labour and the other parties will just waste your money, squander these freedoms, impose new red tape and hike your taxes. On 5th May, don’t let Labour do to your council what they did to our country.”
Prior to the campaigning, Cameron speaks about the responsibilities that are entrusted with the members of the Conservative Party. Their sole purpose is to work for the welfare of the people. Their main responsibilities are to provide for a better security for the local citizens and to provide equal opportunities for them. He also elucidates on the empowerment of the local authorities and the amount of financial autonomy that has been vested on them off late.
