R K Laxman – The Uncommon Man at Nehru Centre

 by . London is paying tribute to creator of India’s most famous common man. “R.K. Laxman, The Uncommon Man” exhibition will open at Nehru Centre in London on 26th November.

The subjects on display include art, caricature, humor and political cartoons. Most have been included in Dr. Dharmendra Bhandari’s published book of the same title, a compilation features a collection of works since 1948.

Dr Bhandari’s  RK Laxman – The Uncommon Man (Collection of Works from 1948), is a biography of the iconic Indian cartoonist through a collection of his work. He has also organised and curated many exhibitions in India and abroad, including Laxman Rekha – Exhibition of Selected work of R K Laxman in Jaipur which was inaugurated in 2005 by then President of India Dr A P J Abdul Kalam.

ICICI Bank UK PLC is supporting Dr Bhandari, who  is setting up the Exhibition of Artworks of R K Laxman at The Nehru Centre between 26th and 29th November 2019.
