Institute of Chartered Accountants of India-UK Chapter celebrates Holi….reports Asian Lite News
Members and families have gathered to celebrate the festival of Holi organised by the UK Chapter of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India recently at Hotel Park Grand London Heathrow. Mr Virendra Sharma MP, Mayor of Hounslow Cllr Ajmer Grewal, Cllr Pritam Grewal of Hounslow Central have attended as the Guests of Honour.
Ajay Agrawal has rendered the welcome address, while Mayor Grewal has spoken of how joyful it is to celebrate Holi in the UK, and reminisced Hounslow High Street having celebrated Holi in Indian style last year. Speaking on the occasion, Virendra Sharma has underpinned the importance of having celebrations and cultural festivals and stay connected to traditions and roots.
Marking the vibrancy of the occasion, colourful folk dance and Bollywood performances were presented by Shivangi Gokhale and Ahana Ghosh Sikka from Sur Bharti group, Shivani Jadhav from Sanskruti Centre for Cultural Excellence and Kristi, Ashwini, Neha and Simran representing Sumeet’s Step2Step Bollywood Dance Academy,spearheaded by Monika Deol Sachdev.
The event was supported by leading real estate developer from Mumbai Kanakia Group, and HDFC, UK.
