Yashvardhan Kumar Sinha has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to the United Kingdom….reports Asian Lite News
Mr Yashvardhan Kumar Sinha, belongs to Indian Foreign Service’s 1981 batch, has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to the United Kingdom. He will replace Mr Navtej Singh Sarna who is taking the new post in the US. The new high commissioner is expected to take up his assignment shortly.
Mr Sinha has recently completed his term as the High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka.
Government has also appointed 1988-batch IFS officer Taranjit Singh Sandhu as the next High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka to replace Sinha.
Sinha is a seasoned diplomat and, in his career spanning 35 years, he has handled several important assignments at the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and in Indian diplomatic missions in South Asia, the Middle East, Europe and South Ameria. Before coming to Sri Lanka, he was Additional Secretary in the Pakistan-Afghanistan-Iran division at the MEA in New Delhi.
