Priti Patel MP,  Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury and Prime Minister David Cameron’s UK Indian Diaspora Champion, in a message urged the community to send their entries.

“This is an opportunity to nominate your family, friends and colleagues for the Dadabhai Naoroji Awards – an accolade presented to those who have made outstanding demonstrable contributions to the UK-India relationship across a variety of sectors,” Priti said.

The Dadabhai Naoroji Awards are named after the first British MP of Indian-origin and the man who brought the first Indian business to the UK. In his spirit, the Awards are designed to celebrate those who have helped further the UK-India relationship in commerce, culture and education. Any member of the public can nominate someone who has excelled in one of those three fields, although only nominees of British or Indian nationality are eligible to receive an award.
