Recently held Environmental Day was commemorated with dedication and commitment at Horsell Common, Woking, Surrey. Asian Lite reports.
Volunteers from different walks of life and representing different organisations – the Art of Living Foundation, International Association for Human Values among others participated with commitment to serve the local community and environment.
Dr Jaymini Chohan representing the AOL Foundation informed it was a very fulfilling and satisfying experience which gave joy as volunteers served with a smile. The H.C.P.S. Winter Working Party Group Leader, Keith J Bowden stated, there were people of all ages who attended to create a wonderful atmosphere during the session. Everyone enjoyed the chance to be out in the fresh air and sunshine that we had that day.’’
The size of the pile of small Scotts pine to be burned was a testimony to everyone’s hard work. Horsell Common Preservation Society extended thanks to all attendees for the work done on helping to preserve the environment.
