‘Theme India’ Mesmerises Winter Ball audience in London …..reports Asian Lite News
The Winter Ball organised at the Indian Gymkhana Club by HBI Conservatives saw an incredible evening of Indian dances, food and excellent speeches. Organised by Ranjit Gill and Elizabeth Spillane underscoring Famous Politicians and Celebrities, the event had Member of European Parliament for London Dr Syed Kamall, writer and broadcaster Ben Fogle, Lord Michael Bates, James Cracknell OBE, Beverly Turner LBC Presenter, Shereen Masum, daughter of the President of Iraq, Mary Macleod, former MP, and other dignitaries in attendance.

The programmw started with a warm welcome by Ranjit Gill, who invited Ragasudha Vinjamuri to host the cultural show. The cultural hour on Theme India included the vibrancy and variety of classical and folk art forms of India, from Lavni dance of Maharashtra, Bhangra dance of Punjab to dance from Karnataka, Kathak, Bharatanatyam and Bollywood dance presentations and provided a taste of the wide palette of Indian performing arts. The 220 odd audiences present were spell-bound and enjoyed the program thoroughly, complimented with Indian cuisine served at the venue.

Conceived, coordinated and presented by Sanskruti Centre for Cultural Excellence, the dancers included Abirami Eswar, Anashmita Saha, Usha Vishwakarma, Pallavi Vishwakarma, Savitha Roy Chaudhary, Dr Madhura Targe, Sushma Awatani, Nishi Joshi Bhatt, Dipshikha Verma, Hitanchi Sahil Bendre, Shivangi Gokhale, Ahana Ghosh Sikka, Shilpa Chaudhary, Priya Stephen, Sudeshna Paul, Aishwarya Pande and Arushi Patil. The artistes were also members of Sur Bharti and Indian Women in London, providing a social media platform for social interaction, support and empowerment to women.
Speeches by Dr Syed Kamall and Lord Bates were articulate and Raffles conducted was interesting and full of fun.
