Mozambique celebrates National Day at Expo 2020

Mozambique today celebrated its National Day at Expo 2020 Dubai, in the presence of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Commissioner-General of Expo 2020 Dubai, and Carlos Agostinho do Rosario, Prime Minister of Mozambique…reports Asian Lite News

Sheikh Nahyan and Najeeb Mohammed Al Ali, Executive Director of the Office of the Expo 2020 Dubai Commissioner-General, welcomed Agostinho do Rosario upon his arrival.

“Mozambique’s pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai enhances its stature as a distinguished country with a proactive vision for the future aimed at achieving sustainable development, in light of the agricultural initiatives launched by the country that ensure sustainable food production, as well as its abundant natural resources,” Sheikh Nahyan said.

“The UAE appreciates its advancing bilateral relations and partnerships with Mozambique. We are confident that Mozambique’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai will create major cooperation opportunities between the two countries,” he added.

Agostinho do Rosario said Mozambique, the UAE and other countries share the same vision to achieve sustainable economic and social development and capitalise on the gathering of the world at Expo 2020 Dubai to discuss sustainable development-related issues, which is consistent with Mozambique’s theme at the international event, which is “Charting a course for a sustainable future.”

During a press statement following his tour of Mozambique’s pavilion, he said his country’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai is important, as it showcases Mozambique to the entire world and is aimed at enhancing its cooperation with the UAE, most notably their economic cooperation.
