UAE joins inter-allied military drill in France

VOLFA 2022, an inter-allied military exercise, began in France, with the participation of air force units from the UAE, France, Portugal, Greece, Spain, Italy and Canada, as well as several other countries as observers.

The exercise, which involves a number of joint military operations, aims to facilitate the exchange of expertise between participating countries and enhance the combat capabilities of their forces.

The exercise is part of a series of exercises carried out between friendly countries aimed at improving the cooperation and coordination between their air force units, to ensure their readiness against various threats, organise joint training, and further align the air force units’ approaches to carrying out operations.
