UAE launches report on sustainable development beyond 2030

The UAE delegation at the United Nations (UN) High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) on Sustainable Development, organised by the UN Economic and Social Affairs Department at its headquarters in New York, revealed the findings of the ‘XDGs 2045: Navigating the Future of our World’ report. Developed by the UAE’s National Committee on SDGs, the forward-looking report outlines a sustainability roadmap that extends 21 years beyond the UN’s 2030 Sustainability Agenda.

The report draws on insights from the XDGs 2045 Ministerial Roundtable, a pivotal gathering that took place during the World Governments Summit 2024. It provides a high-level review of past global development agendas, evaluates current progress towards the 2030 Agenda goals, and outlines the critical steps required to ensure a sustainable and inclusive future for all.

The insights contribute to the formation of a unified global vision for development and sustainability priorities, considering the rapid changes the planet is undergoing.
