His Highness expressed his appreciation for Mr Trump’s efforts in strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries…reports Asian Lite News

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met today with former US President Donald Trump as part of His Highness’s official visit to the United States.

During the meeting, His Highness emphasised that relations between the UAE and US have flourished for over 50 years thanks to their partnership based on a shared vision of progress and prosperity.

His Highness expressed his appreciation for Mr Trump’s efforts in strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.

Earlier this week, President Sheikh Mohamed met with former US President George W Bush in Dallas, Texas.

Sheikh Mohamed and the former president engaged in cordial discussions, during which they recalled Mr Bush’s historic visit to the UAE in 2008. The visit, they noted, further strengthened the two nations’ robust partnership, which is founded on shared values and a mutual commitment to promoting progress and stability.

The UAE President expressed his appreciation for Mr Bush’s role in enhancing these relations during his time in office, wishing him continued health, wellbeing, and a long life.

The former US President expressed his pleasure to be meeting again with His Highness and having the opportunity to reflect on key milestones in the bilateral relationship.

The UAE President also highlighted the pivotal role of Mr Bush’s late father, George HW Bush, in solidifying the friendship and partnership between the two countries. His Highness noted that President Bush Snr had been ‘a friend of the UAE and an ally to the region during a most difficult period.’

Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed that the shared commitment to promoting security, stability, and peace, both in the region and globally, has been a central pillar of UAE-US cooperation over the past decades, and expressed his confidence that this collaboration will continue into the future.

Also, President Sheikh Mohamed held phone calls with former US President Bill Clinton and Jason Carter, the grandson of former President Jimmy Carter.

He exchanged warm greetings with Bill Clinton, highlighting the important role he played in strengthening bilateral ties during his time in office.

He wished the former President and his family continued health and happiness. Former President Clinton expressed his gratitude for the call and extended his best wishes to the UAE President for his ongoing health and wellbeing.

In his conversation with Jason Carter, Sheikh Mohamed enquired about the former President’s wellbeing and extended his best wishes for his ongoing good health. He praised Jimmy Carter’s global humanitarian efforts, particularly his collaboration with the UAE and His Highness in tackling neglected tropical diseases through the work of the Carter Center. His Highness also noted the former President’s contributions to promoting peace and stability in the Middle East and worldwide.
