Third term of our govt not far, says Modi

In his remarks in Rajya Sabha on Wednesday, PM Modi said that ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikaas’ is not mere slogan, it is his guarantee and spoke about his priorities over the next five years…reports Asian Lite News

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday expressed confidence of BJP-led NDA forming its third successive government in the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls and said it will use its energy to strengthen the foundations of ‘Viksit Bharat’.

Replying to the debate on the motion of thanks in the Rajya Sabha, the Prime Minister made an all-out attack on the Congress and said the party which targets the BJP-led government over its handling of public sector undertakings “destroyed HAL and Air India”

“The third term of our Government is not far. A few people call it ‘Modi 3.0’. Modi 3.0 will use all its strength towards strengthening the foundation of Viksit Bharat,” he said. Lok Sabha polls are likely to be held in April-May this year.

In his reply to the debate on the motion of thanks in Lok Sabha on Monday, PM Modi had expressed similar confidence of BJP coming back to power.

“Only 100-125 days remain to go…I don’t go into numbers but I can see the mood of the country. It will make the NDA cross 400 and BJP will definitely get 370 seats…The third term will be about taking very big decisions,” he had said.

PM Modi’s mentioning of 370 seats apparently was a reference to the BJP-led government at the Centre scrapping Article 370 of the Constitution early in its second term in office. BJP leaders have been talked about it in election rallies

In his remarks in Rajya Sabha on Wednesday, PM Modi said that ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikaas’ is not mere slogan, it is his guarantee and spoke about his priorities over the next five years.

“Sabka Saath Sabka Vikaas’ yeh naara nahi hai, yeh Modi ki Guarantee hai. In the next five years, the public transport of India is going to be transformed. In the next five years, the country will see Bullet Train and the expansion of Vande Bharat. In the coming five years, Made in India will echo in the semiconductor world, and we will be the leader in electronics,” PM Modi said.

He spoke about steps taken for the welfare of farmers and said “superfood millet produced by the small farmers of our village will be available in the world market”.

“Drones will be a new strength for farmers. I am sure that animal husbandry and fish farming will increase and we are going to create records,” he said.

PM Modi said contrary to Congress allegations against the government concerning Hindustan Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd, the PSU is showing record revenue generation.

“I was born in independent India and my dreams are independent…Congress said we sold PSUs and destroyed them. I want to ask them who destroyed BSNL and MTNL? Recall the state of HAL under Congress. They destroyed HAL and Air India. Congress party and UPA cannot run away from their failure. Today, the BSNL that you destroyed in it is moving towards Made in India 4G and 5G. HAL is showing record revenue generation and it has become Asia’s largest helicopter manufacturing factory. We have turned around the story. Today LIC’s shares are breaking records,” he said. (ANI)
