Trump Vows to Use US Oil Reserves as a Weapon to Assert Power

President Donald Trump has announced his plan to leverage the United States’ vast oil and gas reserves as a strategic weapon to assert the nation’s power and prevent both allies and adversaries from “pushing the country around.” Trump emphasized that the U.S. holds a unique advantage with its abundant petroleum resources, which he referred to as “liquid gold,” unmatched by any other nation.

Trump’s energy policy was a key part of his election platform, aimed at reducing energy costs domestically while strengthening the U.S.’s position on the global stage. He declared that the U.S. would use its energy reserves not only to lower fuel prices but also to reinforce its economic and geopolitical standing.

Speaking at the Commander in Chief’s Ball during his inauguration celebrations, Trump addressed military personnel and reiterated his commitment to building a stronger U.S. military. He emphasized his vision for achieving peace without the need for warfare, through a powerful display of U.S. military strength. Trump’s “Peace through Strength” doctrine is centered around the idea that global peace can be achieved through strategic power, with the U.S. leading the world by showcasing its might.

“We don’t have to fight the worst if we can do it without fighting, as long as we have total victory,” Trump stated, explaining that peace can be maintained through military readiness and global respect, rather than through conflicts.

Trump also took a moment to touch on domestic policy, promising that his administration would ensure that men would no longer compete in women’s sports, and that gender change operations would no longer be supported. He framed these moves as part of a return to “common sense” in American governance.

The inauguration festivities, including the Liberty Ball, also saw Vice President J.D. Vance addressing the crowd, claiming the election was too significant to be “rigged,” an allusion to Trump’s 2020 loss, which he continues to claim was “stolen.”

As the day drew to a close, country singer Jason Aldean, rapper Nelly, and the Village People performed at the ball, capping off an eventful day that began with a church service and ended with a Starlight Ball before Trump returned to the White House.
