UFI Middle East & Africa Forum meet at Dubai Expo

Expo Centre Sharjah participated in the UFI Middle East and Africa Forum as the official sponsor of the event that brought together an elite group of the most prominent leaders in the exhibition sector from the Middle East, Africa and beyond…reports Asian Lite News

Speaking on the occasion, Saif Mohamed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, Chairman of Arab Union for Exhibitions, Board Member of UFI Paris, said: “Taking part in the UFI Middle East and Africa forum as the official sponsor has provided us with an ideal opportunity to shed light on Sharjah’s exemplary experience in reviving and stimulating the exhibition sector, through the gateway of the Expo Centre Sharjah,”.

“We, at the expo centre, are very keen to adopt the latest innovative work mechanisms and implement global regulatory protocols and practices to ensure the excellence and growth of the exhibition industry in the UAE, and Sharjah in particular,” Al Midfa added.

“The exhibition industry plays a fundamental role in reviving and supporting the recovery of the economies of so many countries. According to official statistics, the market size of the exhibition industry globally is estimated at nearly $2 trillion, distributed over approximately 10,000 international exhibition centres of varying size and importance, while the number of organizing bodies is about 2,863 worldwide,” he further said.

For his part, Naji El Haddad, Regional Director for the Middle East & Africa region at UFI, expressed his happiness at cooperating with Expo Centre Sharjah to sponsor the global event, emphasising that the centre’s participation has enriched the gathering and contributed to its success, thanks to its excellence, vast experience and leading position not only locally but also regionally and internationally,”.
