Workshop For Medical Volunteers of Gaza Field Hospital Held

The Joint Operations Command of the Ministry of Defence, in cooperation with the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), organised a workshop for the first batch of medical volunteers set to work in the Emirati field hospital to be built in Gaza as part of Operation “Gallant Knight 3”.

The workshop, which hosted 50 volunteers, held a briefing on the current situation in Gaza and the Emirati field hospital which will provide necessary treatment for the wounded.

During the workshop, the medical volunteers were briefed on their mission and the stages of its implementation. Additionally, they were briefed on the medical and administrative instructions, as well as the safety procedures followed in such circumstances.

The Emirati field hospital, which has a capacity of over 150 beds and will be implemented in several stages, includes departments of general surgery, orthopedics, children and women, anaesthesia and intensive care for children and adults, in addition to clinics in internal medicine, dentistry, a psychiatric clinic, and family medicine, as well as radiology services, CT, laboratory, pharmacy and supporting medical services.
