UAE celebrates Eid Al-Fitr

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan yesterday performed the Eid Al-Fitr prayer alongside worshippers at Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi.

Performing prayers alongside the President were His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court; H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi; H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, along with other leaders and a number of Sheikhs, high-ranking officials and worshippers.

During the Eid sermon, Dr Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Director General of the UAE Council for Fatwa, highlighted the importance of family bonds in bringing joy into our lives.

He also prayed to God to bless everyone on this occasion, and to bless the UAE with continued stability and prosperity.

Following the prayer, the UAE President exchanged greetings with worshippers on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed then visited the tomb of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and asked God to rest his soul in eternal peace.

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed also received the members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates, the Crown Princes and Deputy Rulers, and sheikhs on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.

Their Highnesses exchanged Eid Al-Fitr greetings and congratulations and prayed to God to bless and bring joy to the UAE and its people and to maintain the country’s stability and prosperity.

Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah; H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman; H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah; H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain; and H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.

The UAE President also received H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai; H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah; H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah; H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman; H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah; H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain; and H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, as well as a number of sheikhs and UAE senior officials.

Their Highnesses engaged in cordial conversation, with the visiting Rulers expressing their pride in the blessed development journey of the UAE under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed, praying to God to bless the UAE with further success and progress.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also received earlier a number of well-wishers consisting of senior officials, guests, and UAE citizens and residents, and exchanged greetings with them on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.
