Azeez Bags Top Kerala Media Award

Anasudhin Azeez serves as the executive editor and managing director of London Daily, a newspaper headquartered in Fleet Street, London.

British-Indian journalist Anasudhin Azeez has been chosen as first recipient of the Kerala Media Academy’s international journalism award, instituted in memory of renowned editor and media educator V.P. Ramachandran (VPR). The award carries a cash prize of ₹1 lakh, a citation, and a plaque.

Anasudhin serves as the executive editor and managing director of London Daily, a newspaper headquartered in Fleet Street, London. He also heads Asian Lite, a media group based in Manchester with an editorial team that includes several Malayali journalists working from India.

A seasoned journalist, Anasudhin has previously worked with publications such as The Gulf Today, Khaleej Times, The Indian Express and The Free Press Journal. He was part of the UK media delegation during former British Prime Minister Theresa May’s official visit to India.

The award recognises Indian journalists who exemplify responsible journalism and uphold high ethical standards. Notably, Anasudhin was a student at the Kerala Media Academy when V.P. Ramachandran served as director of the Institute of Communication.

Hailing from Palakkad, Anasudhin is the son of the late Abdul Aziz Rawathar and Laila Aziz. He is married to Dr. Anitha Vayalakkad, a paediatrician, and they have a son, Saif Ali Azeez.
