A fire erupted at a Kuwait residential complex after a hostile drone attack as Iranian strikes across the Gulf intensified following fresh US military action, reports London Daily News Desk
A fire broke out at a residential complex in Kuwait’s Capital Governorate on Wednesday after the area was hit by a hostile drone, according to Kuwait’s Fire Force.
Firefighting teams were dispatched to the site after the blaze was reported at dawn and succeeded in bringing the fire under control.
The Kuwait Fire Force said there were no reported injuries from the incident.
The fire came as Kuwait faced a wider wave of missile and drone attacks amid a sharp escalation between Iran and the United States. Kuwait’s armed forces said its air defences were responding to incoming hostile threats and urged residents to remain calm and follow official safety instructions.
Iranian forces have launched retaliatory missile and drone attacks against US-linked targets across the Gulf following fresh US strikes on Iranian military and security installations.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed it had targeted the US military presence at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, including facilities linked to American drone operations. However, this claim is not verified.
