Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) has stepped up its engagement with Indian businesses through a strategic multi-city roadshow, reinforcing economic ties between India and the UAE while positioning Ras Al Khaimah as a gateway for regional and global expansion. The initiative brought RAKEZ representatives face-to-face with entrepreneurs, manufacturers, and industry leaders across key Indian business hubs, underlining the emirate’s role in supporting India’s outward growth ambitions.
The roadshow spanned three major touchpoints, combining participation in Jubilant Tamil Nadu with targeted business-to-business engagements in Mumbai and Goa. Across the programme, RAKEZ connected with companies from a wide range of sectors, offering practical guidance on setting up, expanding, or diversifying operations through the UAE, while highlighting the economic zone’s investor-friendly ecosystem.
One-stop business ecosystem
At Jubilant Tamil Nadu, a global expo and knowledge summit bringing together MSMEs, startups, corporates, and policymakers, RAKEZ showcased its integrated one-stop-shop model for business set-up in the UAE. Discussions focused on simplified and fast-tracked company formation processes, designed to reduce administrative hurdles for foreign investors.
The roadshow’s presence in Tamil Nadu, Mumbai, and Goa enabled RAKEZ to engage regionally diverse industries, from manufacturing and energy to MSMEs and startups, strengthening its outreach across India’s key economic hubs.
RAKEZ also highlighted its end-to-end services, covering business licensing, facility leasing, and UAE visa support, alongside a broad portfolio of customisable infrastructure. These range from coworking spaces and offices to warehouses, industrial land for development, and on-site labour accommodation, catering particularly to manufacturing and industrial enterprises seeking scalable solutions.
Sector focus: Mumbai and Goa
As part of its targeted outreach, the RAKEZ delegation held focused B2B meetings in Mumbai during PAMEX 2026, engaging with manufacturers and industrial players across print, packaging, paper converting, textile printing, and signage value chains. These discussions explored how Ras Al Khaimah’s cost-effective operating environment, logistics connectivity, and regulatory efficiency can support Indian manufacturers looking to serve Middle East, Africa, and European markets.
In Goa, RAKEZ joined India Energy Week alongside the RAK Gas team, holding meetings with companies from across the energy ecosystem. Engagements covered upstream and downstream players, renewable energy firms, service providers, and energy-linked manufacturers exploring regional hubs and international expansion opportunities from the UAE.
India-UAE ties underpin growing investment
RAKEZ Group CEO Ramy Jallad said the roadshow demonstrated the sustained appetite among Indian companies to use the UAE as a strategic base for growth. He noted that direct engagement across cities and sectors allowed RAKEZ to clearly communicate how Ras Al Khaimah offers an efficient and reliable pathway for businesses to establish, operate, and scale with confidence.
India continues to be one of RAKEZ’s largest and most important investor markets, with bilateral economic ties further strengthened under the UAE-India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement. Today, RAKEZ hosts more than 11,500 Indian companies, ranging from SMEs to major multinational brands, including Royal Gulf Industries, Mahindra and Ashok Leyland, MSSL, and Dabur Naturelle.
