Bangladesh has condemned a Houthi attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on 10 October 2026, which reportedly killed two Bangladeshi nationals and left several others injured. The Bangladesh mission in Riyadh is in contact with Saudi authorities to obtain details of the victims and arrange assistance for those affected.

In a statement, Bangladesh expressed strong condemnation of the attack, which caused casualties and left numerous people injured, many of them critically.

The country extended its condolences to the bereaved families, including those of the two Bangladeshi victims, and wished a swift and full recovery for all those injured.

Bangladesh said attacks that endanger civilian lives and target civilian infrastructure were unacceptable and must stop immediately.

The government also reaffirmed its solidarity with Saudi Arabia following the incident, expressing support for the kingdom and its people.

Bangladesh called for an immediate cessation of hostilities, the protection of civilians and civilian infrastructure, and a peaceful resolution to the ongoing crisis through dialogue and diplomacy.

It said efforts to end the violence were essential to maintaining regional peace, security and stability.
