Khalistan irked with Modi’s successful US trip

Khalistani separatist groups irked with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s successful visit to the United States.

Despite receiving financial support from Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), these groups were unable to gather significant support, News 18 reported.

Earlier reports from CNN-News18 mentioned that the US authorities were skeptical about granting permissions for their requested protest gatherings.

According to the News18 report, following the attack on the Indian consulate in San Francisco, US security measures have become more stringent, leading to limited permissions for such protests.

During his visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi commenced his journey to the US on June 20. Notably, in New York, he led a momentous event at the UN headquarters to observe the ninth International Day of Yoga on June 21.

Modi met a group of leading experts from the health sector, industry, entrepreneurial world, technology, economy and others in New York on Tuesday and held relevant discussions with them.

Modi was in the US on a State visit at the invitation of President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden. During his meeting with a group of experts from various think-tanks, PM Modi discussed geopolitics, the global economic situation and terrorism among other relevant issues.
